In the training room at Keller Williams
My story
Real estate promised freedom. It took a while to collect.
Most people get into real estate for the same reason I did. Somebody tells you it is the business where you set your own schedule, write your own paycheck, and never answer to a boss again. All of that is technically true. What nobody mentions is that without a system, the business will happily take every evening, every weekend and every vacation you let it have, and it will call that success.
I have watched that happen to hundreds of good agents, and I know exactly how strong the pull is. The fix is never a new lead source or a better script. It is deciding what the business is actually for, then building backward from that answer until the calendar reflects it.
What changed when I started running the office
Twenty years in, I have gone from agent, to team leader, to leading a Keller Williams office, and today I also serve as Chief Vision Officer at Keller Williams. Those roles put me on the other side of the table. I stopped only asking why my own business worked and started asking why one agent outproduces the agent at the next desk three to one, with the same tools and the same market.
The answer is almost never talent. It is the schedule. If it is not on your calendar it does not exist. The most talented people do not beat the most consistent and the most persistent, and the ones who win protect the handful of hours that create future business like a closing appointment.
I never stopped selling
Plenty of coaches at scale stopped selling a long time ago, and I understand why. Coaching is a full business on its own. I kept producing on purpose. Through North Georgia Lake Living and the Bold Moves Real Estate Team I am still pricing homes, negotiating inspections and doing the work I ask other people to do.
I am licensed in Georgia, and I work with professionals in all fifty states, so I know those markets more intimately than a map and can connect people with the best person in them. When I tell somebody that something works, I am describing something I did this month, in a real market, not something I remember from a different one.
